Roof Riser Columns: Used mainly in the construction of fly over roofs. At Scott Metals we use Trade Quality Heavy Duty 65NB Structural Grade Galvanised Steel Pipe in the manufacture of our Standard Roof Riser Support Posts for domestic applications. This product is a Hot Dip Galvanised, inside and out, pipe. The actual size of 65NB Galvanised Pipe is 76.1mm Outside Diameter and a Wall Thickness of 3.6mm.

Roof Riser Columns consist of the pre-galvanised steel pipe cut to length and have a 125mm high Vertical Top and a 200mm long x 8mm thick Base Plate. Top and Base plates are pre-drilled with 2 x 14mm holes. The Plates are Fully Welded to the column with a 6mm continuous fillet weld, ensuring strength and structural integrity.

After fabrication the plates and weld areas are painted with a Zinc Rich Cold Galvanised Primer Paint to assist with rust prevention.

Should you require extra protection from the elements, then we recommend using Fully Hot Dip Galvanised option for Roof Riser Support Columns. Hot Dip Galvanizing is a process where the column, after manufacture, is completely immersed in molten zinc. This thick metallic zinc coating, that completely covers the post and plates, inside and out, provides a superior corrosion resistant finish.

Dektites: Lead FREE, designed as an enviromentally friendly seal for all Metal or Tiled roof applications. Safe for rain water harvesting. Suits all pipe sizes up to 120mm. Metal Roof - highly durable EPDM cone and base with aluminium flexible edge strip, just screw it down, NO silicone required. Tile Roof - EPDM cone on a 99.9% pure aluminium base.
