Protection Bollards: At Scott Metals our Steel Security Bollards are manufactured from Trade Quality Heavy Duty Structural Grade Hot Dip Galvanised Steel Pipe ensuring strength and structural integrity.

Type 1 Bollards consist of the Hot Dip Galvanised Pipe cut to length (1600mm) and come complete with a Galvanised Metal Cap.

Type 2 Bollards consist of the Hot Dip Galvanised Pipe cut to length (1100mm) and capped with a Galvanised Metal Cap. A 250mm square 10mm thick base plate, with 4 x 14mm holes, is fully welded to the pipe with a minimum 6mm continuous fillet weld, ensuring strength & structural integrity. After fabrication the plate and weld area are painted with a Cold Galvanised Primer to assist with rust prevention. (Round Base Plates also available, extra lead times required).

Fully Hot Dip Galvansied: Should you require extra protection from the elements, then we recommend using Fully Hot Dip Galvanised option for Type 2 Bollards. Hot Dip Galvanising is a process where the bollard, after manufacture, is completely immersed in molten zinc. This metallic zinc coating, completely covers the bollard and base plate, inside & out, providing a superior corrosion resistant finish.

Lead Times: The Type 1 and Type 2 Standard Protection Bollards are fabricated to order ASAP. For the Fully Hot Dip Galvanised Bollards the Fabrication and Galvanising requires approximately 10 working days from order.

Alternative Designs: Round, Square and Rectangular steel sections in various sizes, lengths, thicknesses and finishes, are used in the production of Steel Security Bollards. Different top and base plate configurations as well as side eyelets for chain attachment or any other special features that may be required can be manufactured to order.
